Vents Won't Switch - Temperature Control Working

Hopefully this hasn't been covered, I've searched for a few days to find info on this issue, but can only find info on the issues causing the temperature to not change.

My temperature changes just fine, and AC appears to still work.
But, when I move the dial to switch the vent position, it stays at the defrost and floor position (I think, it's definitely coming from the defrost but I'm not positive if the floor is working)

Hoping this is a common issue. Used to not be able to get the "Max AC" function to work until I found a vacuum leak, but haven't had trouble with that since.

Investigated with non-chlorinated brake cleaner today. Can't find a source of a vacuum leak. Did confirm that the MAX AC is not working, but regular AC is working.
Noticed the Heater Control Valve is not moving. This was where the leak was the last time when my Max AC would not work. However, I can't ever feel any suction on the vac line running in to it.
I am still assuming it must be vac leak somewhere, just no idea where else to check. I've sprayed all around the engine, up and down all the lines I know about on the top end and even where the run in to the cab through the firewall near whatever plastic door that is.
Anyone have any ideas?

96 Explorer.
Good news... I finally found it. I've been digging around under the hood for days, pulled the whole radio assembly and vac hose assembly out of behind the dash to inspect it, all behind the glovebox and everywhere.
Almost gave up and decided to trace back from the heater control valve since I knew that wasn't getting pressure. That lead down below where the red hose connects to the black hose. Randomly pulled them apart to inspect both ends and found a little hole near the connector.
Clipped yanked the connector off, clipped off the part with the hole and stuck it back in, secured with electrical tape.
Everything works perfect now

Look's like your's melted a bit.
The plastic can become brittle in the cold, Iv'e had them break in my hands when working on my truck while moving them to the side.
