At this point it's just daily around town trips. The kingpins need replacing and front shocks as well so going longer distances at high speeds make me nervous, especially with how many pot holes there are in Denver.
If you drained the oil from the crankcase and it looked normal then it highly likely that you have a codensation problem like Becky is a 66 posted. I had a tractor that did the same thing if I didnt get it up to operating temp. and then use it long enough to burn off all the condenstation.
I'd never heard of that. I'll see about keeping it running for longer and make sure the breather is clear.
And the PCV is hooked up and working as it should.
Do you know what temp the Tstat is? Think it should be 195*. You should also see what the motor temp is at when running to make sure the Tstat is good.

The only gauge that I have that currently works is the fuel level. So I've got no idea about oil pressure or thermostat temp. I'll have to work on that at some point.
How do you use the truck? If it is used for mostly short trips you can get that milkshake looking film internally because the engine does not run long enough to drive off condensation via evaporation. Make sure your breather is clean to ensure vapor has a passage out when engine is running.
Exactly what I was thinking. Short trips are not good for engines. And as said the oil looked good. If you where getting anti freeze in the oil it would be frothie also.
Hopefully things are ok for you. Sounds like that may be the case. I just pulled my 300 out at the end of last year and redid all of the gaskets/repainted because I got tired of the oil leaks it had. They are a great motor when they are healthy.
