Ok, so I bought the wife an Escalade with the rear seat entertainment for the kids and now they don't want to ride in dad's monster truck any more cuz they can't watch their Disney movies... .
Let's see those rear seat entertainment setups. Any tips would be appreciated.
Adopt a couple kids that appreciate a truck. Otherwise, maybe use a sock puppet?
The displays that go on the back of the headrest may offer a better ergonomic solution than something that is held in the lap or mounted on the ceiling.

In my truck i just have 2 dvd screens that mount to back of headrest. Use it for camping trips to entertain them on the way. Think it cost me 100 bucks.
In wifes vehicle we bought a couple cheap headrest clamps that hold tablets and they just bring their tablets with them. Amazon/netflix/disney all allow you to download onto tablets for offline viewing. Much cheaper than any kind of factory rear entertainment setup will ever be.
We've come a long way. When I was a kid, I sat in the back seat staring out the window while getting yelled at for hitting my sister. Now kids are entertained, what's that all about.
Thanks for replies. I have the panoramic roof so the screen in the ceiling isn't an option. I'll look into the fire tablets and mounts for an iPad for the back of the headrest.
Stick with the Escalade if they want to watch Disney. In a short time, they will have moved on and will spend all of their time staring at their phone. That way you won’t have a useless entertainment system in the back seat that is no longer used after a year or so.

Thanks in advance!
Buy a couple of refurbished iPads from the Apple website, load both up with Disney movies, happy kids once more.
We had a Sylvania 12 volt Blu Ray player in our camper. It just happened to have headrest straps on it so now I just move it back and forth between the truck and camper.
I was thinking similarly this past weekend. A few years ago, we made sure the wife's car had a DVD system in it, and my truck had a portable set for long trips. Now, the kids are just fine with their tablets and phone. Just gotta make sure they can charge them! :-)
