Like you said, add them back slowly. Hook the end of the line up to where its supposed to go, then pop the cap off and stick the line to the manifold/carb/wherever. Then you can tell instantly if THAT line is cracked or causing your issue. I have seen them cracked lengthwise in the middle of the hose. Kinda had to roll it in my fingers and pinch to see the crack.

When you plug the PCV back up, you may need to richen the idle mixture up a hair from the setting you found before. Turn counterclockwise on the idle mix screw, while watching your vacuum. Make sure RPMs stay consistent like you did in step 9 way up above. Any time you introduce an air leak, you have to add fuel to compensate.

Here's a related thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...arb-issue.html

Tedster9 may have explained it better there than I did in step 9.

I knew about the pvc. All the lines need replacing, I jut haven't taken the time to measure nipples to see what sizes I need yet.

So far I'm pretty happy with it, still haven't replaced all of the vacuum lines, I picked some up the other day, but they didn't have much in stock. I decided to do a compression test and I guess I abused my spark plug socket as it jumped right off and snapped the plug. So I got a new set of plugs and a new socket to go with it. Plugs looked good, maybe a bit lean. I know 5 whole miles isn't much of an indicator, but nothing obvious so that's good I think.
