Help identify front leaf pack or height

Hi, I just want to ensure that these are aftermarket springs. Also can you confirm these are OE hangers and shackles?

Trying to figure out what i have right now, as I want to order custom Deaver springs. Also does anyone have a stock measurement of shock eye to eye or something I can reference to see how much lift this is? I was told it was a leveling kit.

Thanks for any help.

What size tire are you running?

Those look aftermarket, I believe you can measure from top of spring to bump stop and use the Ford measurements to compare.

Otherwise measure from hub to fender, however with your large cutout flares it may not work.

What does the rear suspension look like?

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I am running 315/75r16 tires.

I've measured the distance between spring and bumpstop to be 5.25". The static eye to eye on shock (which I would assume would be a great baseline to measure) is 22.25". Any idea on how much lift this is?

Front springs are making a ton of noise, the bushings are shot as well. The ride is harsh offroad and on... I really just want some updated progressive multi-leaf springs. Truck is only used for a lightweight Four Wheel camper, no towing/hauling.

Curious on what the Ford height measurement is, and where can I find that? In general are the leveling kits for these trucks about a 2" front lift?

Just would like to swap out the springs for something new and up to date without changing geometry.

Can you take a picture of the rear suspension?

I will get some measurements of my 99 today.

Well I found another early 4x4 and looks like there is no hanger kit on my truck and the lift is definitely coming from the springs.

I'm looking to maintain what I'm thinking is a 2" lift up front but smoothing out the ride if possible. Deaver stated I might need to go back to a stock leaf and get a hanger kit as they can't make progressive springs under 4" of lift. (Due to the way the truck is setup with slightly flat to negative from stock...).

Here's a pic of the rear...

Just a quick thought, recently Deaver isn't the best customer service. They gave me bad advice last week, for example, and were rude. I'd ask John Cappa on FB for who he recommends. Cappa was tech editor for Four Wheeler mag, JP mag etc. He answers tech questions on his page.

I sent an email request to Deaver and the reply wasn't what I was hoping for either. Rather than offering up ideas or alternatives, they simply said what I wanted (progressive 2" leaf) was impossible. Alcan on the other hand replied positively and was willing to work with me to get me a spring I am looking for. So at this point in time, I would advocate contacting Alcan for a customized spring if you're looking for some. They quoted me $670 plus shipping for 2 new leaf springs with bushings and U-bolts.

From what I've gathered, the lift I have is about 2.5" in the front....

I had leaf springs for my 1992 OBS built by a local shop in Oakland CA, in the 1990s so that shop is probably gone now. Price was half of Deaver.

But you should check around and see if anybody in your state builds springs. Shopping local is usually better.

Here's Cappa's page. A nice guy but he doesn't mince words. Usually replies in a day. I remember one particular our-of-touch magazine editor who wrote about sitting in his luxo RV sipping wine and watching TV ... as a high point of a 4x4 adventure trip. I thought to myself WTF, why not enjoy some 4-wheeling or the outdoors instead? True to form, Cappa skewered that editor on exactly that in his next column...and got fired. By that editor. Who was subsequently fired. For being elitist and out of touch. smh I won't name any names but if you read 4x4 magazines you probably know the story. Lots of turmoil in the print press.

@bajaphile I measured the shock eye distance on my truck to 19.5"

My truck has ATS X code springs up front.
