I've been having a transmission "glitch" lately. When going downhill, or even letting off the gas and coasting for that matter, the transmission catches a little and lowers the RPM's by about 500, and then it jumps back up. Happens almost every time at certain speeds and seems to be mainly when it's in overdrive.
Also, coming home from some 4 wheel passes here in Colorado the yesterday it wouldn't go back into OD. It stayed in drive and the RPM's were high. I got it to go back in after stopping, putting it in park, and then putting it back in OD. It hasn't happened again, but it's only been 1 day.
is the tranny fluid full, might need a new filter and fluid. You have the AOD so it should go into overdrive if you have it selected. have you had any tranny work done recently?
Hey guys.. It's still pulling when slowing down in overdrive. Not like it's going in another gear, just pulls and drops down a few hundred RPM's then goes back up. Any clue?
I guess the next thing is to change out the filter.
you have a C-6 tranny right, if so check for vacum leaks. use your chiltons or haynes manuel to troubleshoot the tranny. a new filter would be a good choice
