With the aluminum bodies on the newer ones, and now with Ford finally getting off the 10,000 lb gvwr limit - you may be right. But I'll definitely hang onto this one for a while. It's only got 75K miles on it - with that and the aftermarket powertrain warranty on it - I think I did ok.
So far, I really like it. There are some days you need 4WD just to get out of my rural neighborhood and onto the state road. And I like the better visibility. We were pulling a 30' travel trailer OK with this one - but we were legit pushing the payload limits. I think this will pull it no problem. We might upgrade - might not.
