Custom rear bumper?

Custom rear bumper?
I was thinking of building a rear bumper for my 01 Edge out of rectangular tubing with the ends flared. Has anyone seen one? If someone runs into me, I would like to protect the sheet metal.

No I have not.
However, this seems like a great place to say: "Make me one TOO Mike!!"
I am so utterly and completely disapointed in the styles/varieties of bumpers available for the 98 I have totally stopped looking and decided my only option is to build them myself.
The best I can figure, all them folks who "came out of the closit" a few years back went to work designing bumpers for Ford Rangers. . . and they haven't been doing much since they started.
I guess that was a rant - sorry.
