I have the air bags from the old truck but I am considering putting SumoSprings on the new truck. 2020 F350 SRW CCSB. Looking at the SumoSpring Rebel SSR-128-40-2 (blue) or the SSR-128-47-2 (black).
I'm thinking maybe with the SumoSprings I will also leave off the sway bar.
So those of you with SumoSprings witch do you have and how do you like them?
Can't go wrong with adjustability/versatility of bags.
. Using Sumos does not redistribute weight to the front like distribution/sway bars do so if you are a SRW truck hauling a heavy tag along trailer I would not get rid of the bars.
An issue i heard people complain about is when not towing sometimes the sumos constantly bump on every little dip in the road and can be annoying.
If the Sumo's are installed with a 1/2" to 1" gap unloaded you will not know they are there unloaded. I had the Black 1500 lb Sumo's and they did help with sag for sure. I tried Superspring leaf's, Timbrens, Sumo's and Roadmaster Active suspension to see what I liked best. I personally liked the Superspring add a leaf the best followed by the Roadmaster because they both helped with sway unloaded as well as loaded. The ride unloaded was not changed a whole lot. Never tried airbags on this truck so wont comment on them. If I were to use Sumo Springs I would leave the sway bar in place as Sumo's will not help with unloaded sway/roll if set up correctly.
