F150 mileage

I am look to buy a '94 F150 with 180,000 miles on it. Engine still sounds great. How many miles more could I expect? 250,000 plus? What kind of mileage would this 4x4 with auto transmission get? Thanks.

F150 mileage

High mileage isn't unheard of anymore. 180k is alot of mileage, but more importantly is how the truck was taken care of. Maintence is the key to a long life. Do you know if the truck was maintained well?

My 1989 F-150 4x4 has the 302 auto with 157k. I get around 15-16mpg during the summer. I don't consider that too bad.

LAST EDITED ON 25-Feb-01 AT 09:43 PM (EST)[p]I agree with Pastmaster. As long as the truck has been taken care of and service work is up to snuff, then you could still have many miles to go before it needs attention. My brothers 94' gets around 13 to 15 mpg depending on the type of travel.
