Payload Capacity!
Ranger 2002 XLT Supercab 6' bed,
Style 383A
V6 3.0
4x2 automatic.
Some places say that the setup I have it’s a 1/2 ton others say 3/4 ton. What the heck!
Is it at 1/2 ton or a 3/4 ton? I'm just getting lost in the #s. I'm good with #'s but this is getting to convoluted, what it the proper way to find out your payload capacity. I know I can go to the local dump to get my curb weight (Approx 3150).
I keep going over the axel rating, GCWR, GVWR and Curb weight and all the #'s that I calculate come out different. One way I'll get 1260lbs another way I'll get 1660lbs any yet another I'll get 500. I know it’s got to be at least a half ton, but id think it would be easier to figure out. If you don't know the answer but know the proper way to calculate this Please let me know.
I have moved over 1000lbs with no problem! I'm looking at moving some patio stones. I can easily fit more then I can handle weight wise. So any help would be nice.
One option I have added is Hellwig LoadPro 15. For those that don't know they help carry a heavy load level.
Thank you,
J.
I tried to look up this info as Ken00 requested + i have the same info as 92ysupply in my owners manual! What i figured out is you can safetly haul 900-1,000lbs! These figures are depending on what kind of set-up you truck has! (this info is also in the manual !)
