I see you are in California. Chances are, you will not be "allowed" to change your Excursion over from gas to diesel. You will be subject to smog inspections and would have to go to referee to have the swap approved. You would have to comply with the emissions requirement of your vehicle or the engine, whichever is newer.
Since a gas to diesel conversion involves so many systems in a vehicle, you would probably have to buy one or more Excursion donors to get all the parts.
