I started out looking into to upgrading my 2019 Lariat CCLB to Sync3 version 3.4. But see I have to sign in to the Ford Owner
website. I tried to do that. Not knowing if I already have an account or not when I tried "create account" it read "email address not available" so I guess I already have an account but when I first bought my truck my head was swimming and I don't remember creating anything on a website, the dealer set up the Fordpass on my smartphone and that's about all I know (I did remember to note my password and pin for that). Is Fordpass a part of the Ford Owner website too? Or anything else?

Should be the same password. If you have the navigation system, your maps may be ready for an update also. I'm going to start with the 3.4 update and then move onto the maps.
The Ford website is crap. I can log into my account via ChromeBook but when using a windows 10 computer I cant log into the Ford website via bing. Google at leasts lets me enter my login credentials but doesnt let me into my account. So bottom line is no update for me at this point. Man if I didn't have all these cameras in this truck I would yard that POS Sync out and put in an aftermarket head unit.
Call their help line, reset your password, and start again. Set up Fordpass on a device and a computer, you would have to enter your VIN to get the files to do the update. Mines on a stick ready to load. It is a pain but the help support does work. Patience and time.
In my experience, just a couple weeks ago, open a chat on the owner's support page, have your VIN ready, they can sort it out for you in a couple of seconds.
