Disc brakes
Looking for advice/recommendations for a kit to install disc brakes on my 53 f-100. Don’t want to break the bank but want good quality item. I think there are kits out there that are fairly simple for a shade tree guy like me to install.

On my 49 I used the basic bracket and spindle adapter from ECI brakes. I think it was about $100 bucks for the caliper bracket, hardware, and the spindle adapters. I already had calipers. I can't remember what I paid for the rotors and bearings but it wasn't too bad, they are just off the shelf parts at the local auto parts store.

It was easy to install. You can choose whether to go for the firewall booster or the underfloor booster.
