So has anyone else had any Bakflip issues? My cable came undone on one side so the panel would not open, that was 2 months ago. So last night the same thing happens on the cables closer to the cab. This cover is 5 months old and is barely even used. My truck sits in the garage most of the time and don't even get driven! Bak sent me a replacement the first time, guess I will see about another one today. Not to impressed so far with this cover!

Have had the same cover for a few years, zero issues.

Sorry to hear about your issues.
I’ve had the F1 on my F150 since 2017 with no issues at all and my vehicle sits outside because it doesn’t fit in my garage.
Perhaps you just had a lemon F1 cover and it’s nice to hear that BaK is making everything right.
I had problems with the Bakflip G2 on my Rambox. On the second panel, the crimp on the cable came undone, but I easily fixed that by taking the cover off the latch and recrimping it. But then the entire latch assembly pulled away from the third panel (the one closest to the truck). I reinstalled with self tapping bolts, those pulled out, reinstalled with rivets, those pulled out too. So, I gave up. The latches on the first two panels are what keeps it locked, so it didn't really hurt to be missing the third panel's latch. The other issue I had with it was that the seal froze to my tailgate, effectively locking the tailgate. Doesn't seem like a big deal normally, but it quickly became a very big deal when I learned about the issue while crossing the border. Being pulled into secondary so they can try to disassemble it because I couldn't open the tailgate was not fun. But I learned, and knew how to unstick the tailgate before any future crossings after that.
All these issues were why I was hesitant to go with BakFlip again on the F250. But I couldn't pass up the rebates on offer at the time I was buying. So far, my MX4 has been flawless, with none of the issues my G2 had. I basically chalk it up the difference between an 8 year old design and the current design. They've improved on a the covers a lot (at least in my experience). The only flaw I have with my MX4/F250 compared to my G2/Rambox is that the MX4/F250 combo isn't as watertight as the old one. On the G2/Rambox, it was watertight, not a drop got in the bed. With the MX4/F250, there's some leakage by the tailgate. But I don't know if that's a result of the MX4, or a result of the tailgate step in the F250 provides a means for water intrusion. I suspect it's the tailgate step. The channels on either side of the tailgate step, there by necessity, have no way of being 100% sealed unless I go to a hardtop that goes over the whole tailgate.
