2013 E250. I was trying to figure out why the electric mirrors don't work. Found power to the switch. Was stupid for a minute and shorted power to ground. Blew the little 5 amp fuse for the mirrors. Changed fuse, engine cranks but does not start. No codes. I pulled every fuse from the engine compartment fuse box and driver's kick panel fuse box and they all look good. Tried unplugging the battery in case that might reset something.
Before going down a significant diagnostic path, I'm hoping there's some simple reset switch or something. Seems crazy to me that shorting out the power wire to the side mirrors, on it's own circuit, could kill the car, but here I am.
Looking at ATC or similar fuses isn't the best way to determine if any of them are actually passing current. Too many have "looked good" only to later discover they've failed without any visible signs---use a test light on them while installed and determine which if any could be bad. In the owner's manual for your year there will be a fuse and relay chart---use that to determine if a failed fuse could be causing your issue.
It's unlikely a power mirror fuse would cause a no start condition. I'd check the crankshaft position sensor connection as those have been known to come loose---of course that would trigger a DTC or code most times. Double check for codes and most importantly if the DLC has power---that connector is fused with the cigar lighter socket.
If all that fails you'll want to get a schematic for your year as those tend to be year specific.
Anyway hope this gets you pointed in the right direction.
