Beater was my last "Daily Driver".... 04 Blazer ZR2.
This one is my "Fun Daily Driver"
My wife has already threatened to trade me cars if I get any tickets in it.

You guys plugging in block heaters when not driving the truck are cracking me up!!!

Makes me feel horrible for the way I’ve treated my truck!! (460k Miles now) It’s been parked since I came back from vacation after New Years. I think I moved it once. It’s FILTHY. It’s also got ~3k lbs sitting on the bed.

Driving it once a week is plenty, and better than doing daily short trips.

If it were me, I would start it once a week if you can't drive it a decent distance. It keeps things oiled up and free moving. Mechanics do not like to sit. On the drill rig, we started the extra rigs every Friday and let them idle up to temp. They all ran very very well, and these are HEAVY pieces of machinery with many many hours. Just my small input.

My wife brought up buyng another daily driver last December. Her reasoning seemed sound... replacing the truck will cost way more than buying a daily driver. We need it to haul hay, trailer, etc. With 354K on the clock, I like to baby it. I figure the less harshness it is exposed to the less wear. Hoping it see 500k before she goes.
