I put 10 ply load range E tires on mine since I offroad and tow with it frequently
very good idea!
what is the bolt pattern & hub diameter of the excursion (w/ the trailer tow package)?
I have some 2017 F250 (platinum) 20" wheels...of course they're not 22" (as included), but they probably are close to the same over all height (w/ K02s on the 20").
I'd leave it alone, especially if you're going to tow it.

From your picture that shows a Super Duty being towed, I suspected you might tow it. That being the case, I wouldn't put big tires or lift it or greatly modify the suspension or driveline. Your original question was very open-ended, so answers could include just about anything. If you want to modify the lighting or interior go for it, but usually that's a matter of personal taste that depends greatly on what look/feel/functionality you are going for.

1st I appreciate your input - I probe further because I want to know / expose if there are issues w/ certain modifications or the vehicle as a whole.
my question was open ended by design - so that folks are invited to offer all types of suggestions.
Im not a lift or tire/wheel type - and I wont be wheeling this thing off-road (have a mildly modified Jeep Wrangler for that).
Will I pull the expedition behind the coach...probably....when we go see friends/family/grandson - we want a vehicle w/ seating capacity (more than the wrangler and more than the crew cab f350.
Originally I expected I would put a motorcycle in the bed of the pickup truck and tow the truck....haven't done that....and have a 3 rail motorcycle trailer for that.
Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what you need.
Do you put anything in the back of the motorhome?
ours isnt a garage unit, its all house.....although you are correct, garage units are available....ive seen garages from 6-14 feet deep.
garage coaches are equipped w/ lift gates so you can load/unload a car/motorcycles/quads etc.
the rear slide that you see is and expansion/slide for the owners suite...basically the entire rear wall is a floor to ceiling / wall to wall cedar lined wardrobe closet...
when traveling down the road the rear wall/closet butts up against the right side of the queen size bed...once stationary the wall slide is expanded to give space to walk around the bed and open the closet drawers (that are blocked by the bed going down the road).
since I know this is a gear head site....
the coach is powered by a 450hp/1650tq, 12.8L, Intercooled Turbo, In-Line 6 cylinder, diesel, which holds 14 GALLONS of oil in the pan....
The engine is coupled to a 12 speed AMT (automated manual transmission)...aka Manu-matic....using a dry clutch (not a torque converter), there is no clutch pedal...there is a paddle shifter (if you insist on running thru the gears manually)...in automatic mode it shifts based on load/weight/demand...usually starts in 3rd and it skip shifts depending on throttle demand and weight etc....generally it runs 3rd, 5th or 6th, then 8th, or 9th to 10th, 11th and 12th gear.
we typically achieve 9.9mpg at 70mph, we've seen as high as mid 13s (55mph) and as low as 8.6 (80mph)
moderately loaded we tip the scale at 30k lbs...the chassis and driveline are rated for 60k+ lbs...if it had another axle it would be rated at more than 80k lbs capacity
