SCMT vs. Diablo Predator

Does anyone know if diablo has a 110 horsepower program available for their predator tuner for a 2000 powerstroke. I originally owned a SCMT and it power and torque wish blows the diablo predator out of the water. the only things i like about the predator is the ability to adjust parameters and the live diagnostics, other than that the SCMT is the true hellraiser when it comes to power and speed. If anyone knows if i can upgrade this tuner to a higher horsepower setting it is greatly appreciated. All replies are welcome even if you want to disagree with my judgement of the two tuners

No. But they are going to be releasing on an update that's going to blow your mind. You'll be able to send it in for an update, or you can have us send you one of our very high horsepower programs we use on the chips. You can download this into the Predator and use it until the next release is available.

I can't give you details yet, due to confidentiality reasons, but suffice to say its gonna be worth it.

The Superchips Microtuner cannot be upgraded. Also, their HP and torque ratings tend to be very inflated compared to Diablo due to the type of dyno each company has.

Sweet!!!!!!!1 How do you go about getting me a high horsepower program and when will it be available. I have another question for you, does diablo sports sell a cable that plugs into the tuner or would i be able to find the cable i need at a computer store. Thanks alot and sorry for taking so long to respond.

I can get 100HP program for it now (I have several 100-125HP programs, I just get them converted to Predator files). We email it and you can download it into the Predator using the Hyperterminal program that comes with Windows. You can pick up the serial cable and power supply needed to do this at most computer stores or Radio Shack.

How much will the program cost me from you? What kind of power supply is needed to download this. I can see needing the cable to plug the predator into but what is the power supply for? Thanks Webmaster!!!!!!!!!

The Predator has a power plug socket on the top of the unit for using it when not plugged into a vehicle. If you bought the Predator unit from us the extra program doesn't cost anything. I see that you already have a Superchips unit, do you plan to get a Predator and sell that one?

I had a SCMT but sold it because my father bought the Predator as a gift for me. It just doesnt seem to have the same get up and go and if you hold the accelerator down when the tranny is getting ready to shift it seems like it tries to skip second then return to second gear. I didnt mess with the shift firmness because I'm not sure where to adjust the settings to. But anyways I would like to send the unit back to you guys for the higher horsepower upgrade and maybe check the unit out and make sure nothin is screwed up.
