Maybe it's just me, but I don't like the new $20 bill idea. Isn't american money supposed to be green? I know that other countries have different colors, but isn't colored money somehow unamerican? Ok, well maybe not unamerican, but lets say, untraditional. I don't like it. I want the green money back!
It was bad enough when they wrote 20, twenty different ways on the thing and put the pres off center!
The reason for the money change again is that if we change all of the existing bills and shred all of the old ones when they com in only the terrorists will have the old money makin it easier to trak them..
Last time they changed them, there were counterfiets out in less than a week. Just like computers. If you can design something to protect it some one can break it. I bet there will be counterfiets in less than a month.

If you look at your money you will notice that the front of the bill is black. There is no green ink on the front except for the numbers and treasury seal. The back of the bills are green, hence the name greenbacks. The back of the bills are still green and will always be green. There are no plans to change the color of money from black on front and green on the back, the changes are in additional colors being added to the bills. Also, they are experimenting with holograms on the bills. Historically speaking, US notes have been black on front and green on back and they will most likely always be that way. So rest assured, you will always be able to have your precious green money.
I was looking at a $1 bill after Cheese 4420 pointed out that the front has black ink and the back has green.
At that point, it occured to me that money is kind of an odd concept - little pieces of paper that can be used to buy things like cars and houses, items that are made out of material that's worth a whole lot more than the paper used for money...
cut me some slack; it's 12:45am and I haven't been sleeping well the past 2 weeks
If you have the chance to get a nice crispy bill of any denomination, take a special look at it. You might notice that some of the ink actually bleeds through to the opposite side. This is due to the fact they use a very large, expensive, heavy, and intricate gravure press. This is a massive steel roller with the image cut into the drum that presses the ink into the paper. The enormous amount of weight from the drum actually can penetrate the ink through the paper. Just a little tidd-bit of information for ‘yall.
One more thing, if you happen to have an old $20, with the small Jackson on the front, take a look at the White House on the back, it is the front of the building. The new $20’s have the back of the White House on it.
