I have 67 f250 4x4 I finally diagnosed what;s the problem a bought the truck with no brakes. After changing everything i've narrowed it down to the m/c pushrod the one I have is adjusted all the way in and when I attach the m/c I notice that the brakes are engaging as if someone was holding the brake pedal just a bit
this is the way I bought the truck I used the same replacement parts that were on the truck I need my push rod about a 1/2 inch shorter I was wondering if the guy had the wrong m/c in the first place I matched it up to a 67 f100 2wd. the m/c does have an adjustable pushrod that stays in the m/c when you pull it out of the booster. Now the booster looks like it matched up to a 75 f350 2wd 460 cid it's the smaller booster but the pushrod from the 75 is way longer then mine and remains in the booster.
What's easier?
finding a smaller pushrod or changing over to the 75 booster and m/c and will this work my truck it has drums all around the 75 has discs in the front.
