You think so? I dont know what those transmissions will cost cant be near the price of a new truck. I understand the computer wont be cheap. A guy can dream I guess.

I believe you would be looking at more than just the trans and tcu. Wiring harnesses, driveshafts would probably be different, trans mount and crossmember possibly, then the dash screen that shows 10 gears instead of 6. I see $$$.
I bet once these trucks are out for awhile you could get it done for 7-10k. Or better yet maybe gear vendor will come out with something. Then I could have a 12 speed...
You can get into a 2020 7.3L 10-spd for about $40k
A rough trade-in value for your truck is about $30-32k-ish not knowing options and mileage and such...
I get what you're saying. But say a guy 2-5 years from now wants to add a 10 speed and can do it for 7-10k instead of spending 40-50 on a new truck. That way one doesn't have to fork out all the cash again for a new truck when the current one is fine other than the want of a 10 speed.
I drive truck for a living. The tranny's job is to get ya and what you have with u from point A to B and back ect.
Tho I drive them often , I've never been bit by the allure of an 18 speed or a 5 and a 4 ect. Give me a 6 speed automatic with a good strong , settable, Jake . And enough horse power and I'm very happy.
One of the biggest draws of the modern Super Duty is the brutally dependable 6 speed tranny. To me at least.
