Looking for options in Ontario Canada. My long block 351m replacement engine is 4years old and now is suffering low oil pressure at idle and what sounds like a noisy lifter tick. Thinking of removing and sending it out for a rebuild. Is it worth it or should I find a small bolt pattern c6(4wd) and switch to a Windsor. 351m and 400 are hard to come by these days and harder to find a good one. I assume my long block was built poorly with cheap parts. I switched to 15w40 oil and a good filter and can maintain 10psi at idle but it doesn't sound good anymore.
Thanks for reading.. Opinions welcome

Hey there, my 78 originally had a 400, that too was suffering the same issues, low oil pressure, and I would get rocker noise on the right bank at highway speed! If the engine still runs decent, with no compression or missing issues, you could try changing to a high volume oil pump! I went the other way, and had a 400 rebuilt, but I had trouble with it, and then I decided to change it out completely and good with a 429 2V....and doing that switch into a 78 150, was most certainly a parts adventure, as being young and naive at the time...I purchased a long block 429, with none of the parts to put it together....a rear sump oil pan, pickup tube and oil pump, just a start on the required list lol
