C6 transmission swap issues
Hey guys, i have a 79 f250 that had a 351M with c6 transmission and im in the middle of swapping in a 460 with a c6 out of an 84 econoline. The issue i am having right now is that the drive shaft isnt wanting to go into the transmission. Was there a design change in the yoke between 79 and 84 or am i just nit trying hard enough? Its like the yoke on my truck is longer than the tailshaft of the transmission. Also the speedometer cable gear looks completely different but im thinking i can just swap out the gears on that and be good to go. Any help is greatly appreciated.
