It's been a long time since I've posted. I joined this forum with a 55 F100 that I sold and now I'm working on a 56 F100 that I'll be keeping since it was my grandfather's.
I'm in the process of figuring out the wiring and can't seem to figure out what this is for and if it's needed with my setup. See below circled item.
Thanks, the truck no longer has a stock horn setup. Doesn't really have much of anything stock anymore, which makes it interesting to work on. I have three different shop manuals . It's a 56 Ford with a 79 Chrysler Cordoba front clip (Gibbons Style), 65 mustang 3-speed transmission, Ford 9 inch rear, and a 92 302 converted to carburation. I'm working on adding the duraspark ignition, electronic fuel pump, and electric fan, hopefully the alternator can handle it!
I think your stock '92 alternator is 60 amps unless the donor vehicle had A/C then it could be 75-85 amps. I think a wise move would have been to use the stock horn relay setup with the aftermarket horn.
