Greetings All,

I'm new here. I have a recently bought a 2001 F150 XLT 4X4 (automatic trans). I have about 175,000 miles on it. The truck is an extended cab with a Triton 5.4 liter motor.

It's not my everyday vehicle, as I commute quite a distance for work. However, as I there are days that bad weather may require, I wanted the 4X4 option. Also, as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, we do a lot of camping.

I also needed something to tow my 2009 Harley V-Rod. Not to mention, all the "honey-do-projects" that make having a truck a necessity.

In the past, I've had 2 Ford Rangers; one 1996 XLT extended cab, and one 2003 Standard cab. Both were 4 cylinder trucks with 5 speed manual transmissions. I've also had a 2005 and 2007 Chevy Avalanches. But I've come full circle, back to Ford.

There is work that needs to be done to the F150, but it'll happen in time. I really like what it's capable of.
