Absolutely. The Tutorial (101) is here. Enjoy.

It's also a well traveled subject that you can search on here:

It's amazing. Download ASAP. You can locate your truck, lock/unlock, remote start/stop, check your fuel level, check your tire pressure. All remote from your phone anywhere in the world. I've used it to unlock my truck for friends and constantly to lock when I forgot if I locked it or not. You also get recall info and update info but the remote features are the best part.

I thought Ford Pass was when you put your foot into it, downshift and pass another car on a two lane road!

Depending on how your truck is equipped. If you don't have the factory AT&T modem in your truck, all of the functions you mention will not be present.
My truck is not so equipped. I can use a few of the functions like getting alerts on recalls, FSA's or bogus SYNC update alerts. I can also locate dealers, food, fuel stops, etc and keep track of maintenance and Ford points. But there is no remote start via the app, fuel level, tire pressure, etc. that I've ever seen.

How can you tell if your truck has the AT&T modem? Thanks

Granted, FordPass is a convenient tool; however, pay close attention to the privacy policy and make sure you are OK with the types of information they collect and sell to third parties. I use FordPass but I also know many that refuse to use the service because of the privacy policy.

I always know where my truck is unless, of course, it has been stolen, which has never happened in the 46 years that I have been driving. And if I on vacation, say in Norway, and my truck is parked at JFK or LAX, what am I going to do if Ford Pass tells me it is low on gas or air? And isn't that what the gauges are for?

Amazing? I hardly think so.

True, however it is standard on all 2019 XLTs with Sync 3 and any higher trim levels. I haven't seen many XLT without sync 3 but it sounds like that may be what you have?

It tracks parking location if stolen, I've used it to monitor people using my truck. (no speed or anything but parking location) You may not enjoy it but it's an amazing world we live in that I can schedule my truck to turn on every weekday 10 mins before I head out the door.

It's a gimmick, nothing more. I can start my truck too everyday 10 minutes before I leave without using my phone.

I can check my tire air pressure.

My fuel level.

My oil level.

All this without using a phone or even opening the hood. And some of these features have been on cars and trucks that had tube radios and vacuum wipers.

If you think that doing it from a phone makes the world "amazing", then you have set the bar pretty low.

I don't see any need for Ford pass . I have no need for my phone to connect to the truck or the truck to be a hot spot.

I have nothing to hide. But even so I don't want big bother knowing my every move.

I personally like the app, it has good information should you need it. It's not one single thing, but the whole package.
unfortunately Big Brother watches us way more from other gadgets we have....

The other responses are valid. To each their own, ya know? Now that you have several responses I would download it and see if it’s for you.

My truck having the modem does allow me to remotely unlock and lock, start engine, etc. I like it all, especially the lock and unlock. It’s an added convenience. Necessary? No. Such is the day and age we live in.

I also like the owners manual built in to the app. Linked text...It’s damn handy.

I've got a 2019 XLT Premium with SYNC 3, version 18093. No modem/FordPass options on it. No mention of it on the window sticker. Simply notes SYNC 3 voice activated system.

No idea. My truck doesn't have it. All I know is that the FordPass options like start, unlock, etc. are not present.

I've had cell phone starting in the past with Viper SmartStart and with Ford's VSS/RMU modules with the old Ford Remote Access app. Handy, but not often enough used for the price of the yearly subscription for me.
