1955 f100 rear brake updating
I have a 1955 f100 with stock rear axle. I upgraded the front axle to disc brakes and I want to do some upgrades to the rear axle also. I was wanting to change over to auto-adjusting rear brakes for the drums and was wondering if anybody had done this yet? I attempted to search through the Forum but did not come up with much information.
From Little searching on the internet I found that 1967 Ford Bronco cylinders and Hardware may work for this job with using stock brake shoes for a 1955 F-100.
Any assistance in this would be appreciated.

If you can find a mid-60's F-100 at the boneyard, those have the same basic rear brakes, in some cases 1/2" wider than your 55's, but with self adjusters. If they are the wider ones, you have to change the backing plate too, so just grab the whole setup.
You may also be able to add self-adjusting hardware to your existing brakes, but I'm not sure if your shoes have all the extra holes.
