2020 F450 Driveability Is Amazing

Good to hear. How does it compare to the srw ones you've had in the past? I seem to recall you saying that your previous F-450's didn't have anywhere near the towing power of the srw's. Have you driven a 2020 srw 6.7?
The grill looks way better on the 2020's!
How is towhaul mode in the 10 speed vs the 6?

I put the Banks on the '19, and it made the truck seem like my '16 did. Lighter quicker shifts and more power.
I'm surprised at the way the ten speed goes thru the gears. Much better than my wife's Raptor. In tow haul it will hit every gear like you would expect. Feels a bit like a semi.
I did drive a srw truck. The lag I've experienced in other years sems to be taken care of.
This 450 will keep losing traction up into 5th gear. Crazy power. Seems like gobbs of torque.

Yes the output seems higher in the 2020 than my 2017 and frankly I have been getting "brighted" by oncoming cars quite a lot

A lot of the Ford headlights also come aimed too high from factory, so maybe that's happened to you. 25' away they should be 2"-4" lower than what they are mounted at on your truck.

With the projector lenses it will take some time to get used to.
Auto high beams and adaptive cruise will change my life.

Thanks! How's the exhaust brake compared to your '19? Do you find the new tires to be better or worse? Do you have a picture of the yellow payload sticker? Is your truck a Lariat?
is there a difference in the seats?
Sorry for all the questions, just ignore them if you don't feel like answering. I won't be offended.

If you don't have anything to contribute, why post at all?
I've seen a lot of brandon4's posts and it seems that he's not afraid to speak the truth/share his opinion whether it's negative or positive. I for one actually trust what he says and he has quite a bit of experience with the '17-'19 trucks and now has a '20 so I really value his opinion. If he doesn't want to answer my questions he doesn't have to. If he wants, I'll even delete my post/posts.
You on the other hand bash the competition to no end and put down the '17-'19 trucks because they don't have the "updated" powertrain. I think all 3 manufacturers make a decent product and love the fact that there is such close competition to push each one to put out a better product each year. I don't put much value in the opinions of Ford fan boys that think Ford's are the best just because that's all they've known and think Ford can't do any wrong. No disrespect intended, just the way I see it. It's a rarity to see members on this forum like brandon4 with experience with this many newer trucks and is willing to share his negative and positive experiences.

Maybe you misunderstand, but you may want to start by practicing your first sentence.
I totally agree with the OP. The 2020 is awesome.
Ford Fanboy? Read the website title and you are currently posting under clearly reads “Ford Truck “Enthusiasts”
Bash the Competition? LOL. I currently own a lot of the competition, including a GMC 2500HD, a 19’ Jeep Wrangler unlimited, and obviously a 2020 Ford and an Expy..and previously owned a Ram and traded off a Yukon Denali a couple months ago. I am a previous owner of many GM 4x4 heavies.. . I think that covers the competition we currently own/support and will again in the future, so you may not want to “assume” such baseless accusations and liberties in the future.
17’-19’? Past tense does not interest me to the least. Sorry, not sorry.
Back to the thread..
Others,
The one surprise I’m finding is the mileage. I did not expect to see such results from the get-go. Usually, brand new diesels take a while to produce good MPG.
To see 20 MPG and above with the power available really shows that this drivetrain and gearing combo really produces excellent results. What will it be when everything is properly seated and broken in?
Absolutely thrilled with the 3:31 performance as well. I am guessing the 450/4:30 will also pleasantly surprise.
I am very interested in seeing a picture of Don’s face when he finally sees his F-450 “Ghost”!
