Death Wobble Struck!
Wow that is crazy 6 to 8 was for parts.
I would not be happy either and I would check with other dealers and see what they say about parts for your truck.
If they are all saying the same thing I would be calling Ford Corporate and complaining.

Just got a call back from corporate. She said they put my parts on priority. She is gonna check on it daily or every two days until it’s resolved. She said at this point it sounds like just a new gen steering damper for the fix. We’ll see.
I spoke to Ford Corporate and the Ford Service dept. yesterday and there was no update on the status. Surprisingly, this morning out of nowhere the service dept. called me and said my truck is done. I asked what they replaced and he said just the damper. I'm a little worried now that there could be some other issue. I want them to check the alignment before I pick it up. Not just because of replacing front end parts, but also because of the steering oscillation issue could have thrown something out of whack. I'll keep you posted after I get it back and drive it over a couple know death wobble causing areas. I owe the expedited handling of this issue to the Ford Corporate office having someone "manage" my case with the local dealer service dept. Hopefully this is the fix and I don't end up coming back with this again.
*UPDATE* I got my truck back. Granted I haven't driven very far, only from the dealer back to my work. It feels much tighter in the front end steering. Not turning the wheel, just in the overall "slop" that it had before getting the new damper. Only time will tell with the fix. Hopefully it's done. I'm gonna try and travel some known hot spots where the death wobble happened before and see how that feels.
UPDATE!
Ford called and I picked up my truck two days ago. Took it on a high-speed run (80-85) on the interstate over the very same spots that triggered my first DW event. Drove straight, true, and solid no matter how much the steering got tossed about!

I checked that Ford part number, KC3Z 3E651 B, and it didn't reveal anything special as near as I could determine. In fact, several parts house sell that very item. Maybe Ford improved it, but I have always been under the impression that revisions will be reflected in a new parts number suffix.

The dealer told me they checked their 2020 stock and they didn't yet have them installed.I'm betting they are hoping it is a hit or miss deal and will just add that model year to the TSB and fix it only when the owner complains.

Death wobble
So I just got the DW on my f350 CCSB 6.7 - the dealership is going to change out the part, no cost to me but it’s going to be 4 days until they can get to it. Is the truck safe to drive until then? Does anyone know - will the truck be good to go once the part is replaced? I’ve had the truck for three days just bought it from this dealership.
Thanks for any help
