greetings

My name is Richard Miller and I am currently looking at a 88 Eddie Bauer. 2WD with a slush box. I am pretty excited about this because:

a: I am not really sure I want 4WD in the first place. looking at it from a practical/reliability issue.

b: I would like to go camping with this truck but most likely will not be conquering any obtrusive obsticals.

I have just found the forum today and have glanced through the past posts but 2 main questions remain:

1. Is there a good write up on installing a 5-speed?

2. Incase I find out that I had underestimated this B2 and want to go 4wd, are there any good write ups for this.

I really like the Idea of the potential for a 4wd 5-speed. or would it be better to just find one. I realize I am kind of contradicting myself, but I will assume people understand where I am comming from.

thank you

Richard Miller

Welcome to FTE!!!

If you want 4wd get a truck that has it, the switch is not worth doing.
