Ghosts

OK, a lot of you are gonna think I am weird, but I want to know if anybody else does this. My best friend and I have been talking for years about doing some ghost investigation and writing a book. Well, last month we decided to do it. We have been going to cemetery's to start out with late at night, and snapping pictures, and vidio recording. We do not have much equipment yet, but we are getting some really starnge pictures. I will not get all into it here right now, but I was very skepticle at first and now all I can say is WOW. Anybody else have any experiances with Ghost Hunting? If this turns out to be a hot topic, or if anybody is interested, I will post our website here when it is up and running.

If you're serious about this, you might want to see if you can dig up any of the papers Dr. Peter Venckman, Dr. Ray Stantz and Dr. Egon Spengler published back in the eighties. They were very prominent paranormal researches based in New York, and if I'm not mistaken, I believe they also made a documentary film or two about their supernatural encounters.

Come check out the warehouse where I work. We have all sort of strange stuff happen. Pallets jacks start rolling off on there own. Shuffling sounds. Strange. I like staying there late at night when the shift ends and listening for weird things.

You might think about looking at hotels. A year or so ago, A&E did a special on Halloween about hauntef hotels. The one I worked in was one featured (The Broadview - Wichita, KS) along with others like the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park where thay shot the shining.

Thanks for the replies. I have spent days reading whatever I can find online. I wil look for the topics you suggested. And as far as hotels go, there are some hotels in my areay that are supposedly haunted that I want to check out. 13honda, buy a throw away camera, one with the film already in it and carry it with you at work for a while. When you hear or see anything unexplained happen, start snapping pics at it. You might get some cool suff. If it is a spirit, you may get the most common "orb", a step up would be an ecto mist, and for the really advanced spirit, you may even get an apparition. They are some really cool things to capture on film. I have captered orbs and ecto, some really great shots, and have gotton one pic with an apparition. That RAELLY FREAKS YOU OUT. If you do this, please forword me the pics, I would love to see them. Thanks for the replies...Jay

There are no such things as ghosts, just demons and Satan.

I beleive that there are alot of mice that are mistaken as ghosts, but if you want to find some creepy places try talking to some high schoolers, they should have a lot of places that they believe are haunted and what not. Exspecially in the smaller towns where the kids "can't" find anything to do.

Sounds like an exciting hobby if you get much action. Do you use flash on your cameras or fast film. Most throw-away cameras rely on the built-in flash for low-light situations, so they might not work if flash over-powers the ghosts luminocity.

I used to see figures as a kid in our first home. They scared the crap out of me then, and therefore I avoid looking for them now. If I was with a group of people, it probably wouldn't be that bad.

I posted a true story along with many others here at FTE a year or so ago. Since Halloween is just around the corner, here is the thread.

If you want to go to a creepy place go to Bunny Man Bridge in Clifton, VA. Real close to my parents house. Went there several times as a high school kid. Really creepy. Stories vary about what happened there but its some grusome stuff. Search it on the internet there are now a bunch of sites about it. It was even featurred on one of the episodes of the "Scarriest Places on Earth" I think it was on Fox Family Channel.
