Then by all means get the 3.5. I can't think of a reason to go 2.7 over 3.5 in my opinion. Was more or less trying to say don't let the 2.7 fall out of the equation. Show us some pictures if you decide to pull the trigger on the truck.
I have the 3.5 (2015), and it's been trouble free for almost 5 years now. Would not hesitate to get another one. At work they have a few that are all the 2.7, and they have all been fine; even off road and mild trailering. We had an 05 Tundra, and thought it was a great truck as well; way more room in the F-150, and the F-150 (I think) is more quiet.
Well...

Congratulations! You’re going to love the Ecoboost engine. I stand on the gas on my truck a couple of times a week to put a load on the turbos, and have never had any issues with any of the EcoBoost engines I have had.
You got a good Rig. I would have got another 3.5 if I was pulling or hauling heavy loads often. The 2 That I had were problem free, l traded just because I could. I custom ordered this truck and got the 5.0 just because that's what I wanted. I agree with Ford_Coastie, You should be happy.

I traded in my 2017 F250 Platinum 4x4 Diesel for a 2018 F-150 Lariat 4x4 3.5 eco loaded. We did this for our big old dog who couldn't get up in the higher truck anymore. I can't wait to get rid of this truck. These trucks IMO are too light now and I don't like the rack and pinion steering. Personally I think they ride like crap compared to my 2008 that we still have. The headlights are absolute garbage and if you get one of these I highly recommend getting ripped off for the upgraded package to include LED headlights. They look nice but to me I think the Toyota is a better choice. I like the GMC truck but not the motors. Ram is nice but you better love seeing the guys at Ram getting it repaired. The Ford engines I don't think you can go wrong with any one of them. If like your Toyota you plan on having it a long time and you choose Ford I would get the 5.0 hands down. I'm going back to an undecided Ford F-250 SD or GMC Denali Duramax. The other problem is these trucks are out of control with pricing. I get a new truck very often and that is changing as well for now on. "NO WAY" I am paying 80k on a truck someone else can take the hit. Best of luck with your journey.
Appreciate all the input and comments posted.
I'm looking forward to picking it up.

Your going to love it Gattenby. Good luck keeping your foot out of it, I drove some 3.5's when I was shopping. Of course I had to lay into it a bit to see what it had, when I did, came the resounding "woah!!!" from the better half in the passenger seat. quite an impressive power plant. Good luck and all the best to ya!
