Remote start doesn't work!
Well, in the spring I got my '89 3.0L Aerostar and replaced the spark plugs and wires. In the process I ended up screwing up my remote start. When driving down the road it would cause my digital dash lights to blink. So, I unplugged the main computer and put it in my trunk. Well, about a month ago I went to hook it back up and it doesn't work. It was built in '96 and was on the van when I bought it. There are two buttons on the remote: 1 turns on the running lights temporarily and the other turns the van on and off. It is a prostart and I don't have a manual for it. Anyone know why it is doing this? Does it need to possibly be reprogrammed and does anyone know how? I have replaced the batteries in the remote and that didn't do anything. As far as I can tell all wires are hooked up right. Any help is appreciated......thanks!
