Here is my Lariat 7.3 Tremor. I’ll do some updates on the truck as time goes by but so far I am impressed. This is coming from owning every gen of PS. She is a beast. Also making friends with my F350 7.3 PS! Will keep mods light on this truck but so far they are weathertech mats, Ford mud flaps, and a tool box. Enjoy the pics and video.
—Current mileage is 1700 with an average of 12.7MPG.
The 7.3 Tremor pulls great, better than expected. The 4.30 ratio is a huge benefit and it shows on the low end. It’s nice to calm that rear suspension down with a decent load thats for sure. The 10 speed trans does nicely, tow mode, and it still just as sleek and smooth with a load. On the highway, 65-70, it’s able to hold tenth but it’s a quick downshift to eighth when need be. RPM’s are about 1800 for 10th, 1950 for 9th, and 2100 for 8th. These are ish figures. MPG was 9.5-10.5 with this particular load, driving easy 55-60 on a farm to market road. I was sitting about .75-1” below the top overload spring, just right.
Trailer Weight 1850
Tractor Weight 6000
This load is appx 52% of Conv Tow Rating for this vehicle

Highway MPG (truck only), 13.5-14.5. I’m now averaging 13.2. Eco Mode helps but I’ll admit, it is a little hard to shy away from that accelerator! I’m improving! The GZ 7.3 has excellent deep growl exhaust notes.
Nice truck! Keep the updates coming, I really like the color, is it Star White? I saw a Lariat at the dealer in Star White and it was beautiful. I bought a XLT and the color was not an option.
Nice looking truck. I'm curious how the motor sounds at idle, is it noisy like all the other gas engines Ford has or did they quiet this one down.
I've noticed that the noisy idle thing seems to be a product of the OHC design Ford's mostly drifted towards and now that they've added direct injection that doesn't help either with noise. I have a 5.0L Coyote F-150 that I was once afraid had the death knock, but I've come to realize that these 5.0L's are just noisy engines in general, I'm about turn 80K miles on mine and not a single problem with it. So I speculate its an OHC thing. My first truck was a 1990 F-150 with the old pushrod 5.0L and it was whisper quiet until I added a set of Flowmasters to it and even then the engine itself hadly made any noise. I haven't had the chance to be around or drive one of the new 7.3L's in person yet, but I am curious if they'll be quieter operators overall than the 5.0L and 6.2L due to their pushrod nature.

Thanks! Just plain ol' work truck white, "Oxford White"

I am pleased to say the Godzilla motor noise is quite whist. The pushrod design must be to blame for this. From the interior at idle, motor noise is nearly inaudible. I'll see if I can get a video that can support this.
