We recently purchased a new 2019 F150 with the 3.0 at the same time my dad did also. Has Ford eliminated the option to turn off the auto lock function like earlier models? It’s driving my dad nuts, as I told him don’t worry I turned it off on my other trucks (‘15 & ‘16). I can’t find it in either the owners manual or within the menu on the dash.
I found this option was missing from my 2018 as well. Needed to modify a register in Forscan to return it to the menu. If you're familiar with Forscan, it's an easy change. Register values below depending on trim:
If you have a good relationship with the dealer, they might be able to enable it for you at no cost. Might go that route first.
Forscan is software that will allow you to connect to your truck with a windows laptop using an adapter and modify programming. It's not overly complicated but you do need an adapter. I used this one:
