I was going to do the same thing but I am wondering if it will fit in the garage with the bigger tires. Anyone???

I vote for the 295's.

As far as it fitting in the garage...how much taller is the 295 vs. the 265 tire?

Just add the difference to the height of the truck and measure your garage door to see if it'll still fit.

The 295 BFG AT is a 33.5 inch tall tire - go from there.

I have the 285 BFG ATs and it still fits in my garage. I have standard size door openings (7') as well.

i've got a 250 SD with a 2" leveling kit in the front with 315's and it still fits in my 7' garage door, and in every parking garage that is marked at 7' max.....

I am in the process of ordering a 4" lift and installing 315's. I will have about 1" clearance to get into my garage. What I did was take a 4' board a level and a tape measure. Lay the board on the highest part of your X (on mine it was the rear spoiler). Set the level on the board so you have it level and measure the distance to the ground. Then measure your garage door and see how much you have to play with.

You have a (bling) spoiler on your (bling) Excursion?

Can't be...I must be thinking of something different.

I suppose I used the wrong term. It is the plastic wind deflector mounted on the rear of the roof above the rear door. I believe it is to create a wind current that is suppose to keep the rear window clean although it does a poor job of it. I believe that most X's come with them from the factory.
