93 Van A/C problem Help
I have a 1993 Ford E-150 Leisure Van. I had a front compressor seal leaking and lost my charge. I decided to replace the compressor with a "rebuilt" compressor. After removing all the necessary parts, I flushed the whole system out with over-the-counter A/C flush. After that I removed the rear A/C system and replaced the valve with a 1994 expansion valve (which should be compatible with an R134a system). After putting it back together I moved to the main system. I put a VOV oriface in the front evaporator and 10 oz of oil in the system and then installed new O-Rings. I pulled a vacuum, which held overnight, at 29 inches. The tag on the firewall indicated 4.75 lbs of R-12. I put in 68 ounces of R134a, which should be about 80%. The low side pressure is 55 lbs - high side pressure 195 lbs. Inside car temperature is 91 degrees, outside temperatire if 89 degrees and the discharge temperature coming out of the vents is 65 degrees and doesn't get any colder, even driving down the road. Can anybody help, have any ideas, suggestions?
