Cracking Windshields
Last year on my 95 Aerostar, a rock cracked the windshield. I got quotes between $185 and $350 to replace it. I went with the $185. Yesterday a small rock bounced off the windshield, I saw it happen, it wasn't much bigger than a pebble. It put a small crack in the windshield, which grew to about 18" long in 15 seconds.
This windshield seemed to disintegrate much too quickly. Are all windshields made the same, or is that why the wide price difference? Maybe I'm better off with the more expensive one?
