REVISED Alarm Problem

On my previous post I stated the problem wrong -

WHAT I MEANT TO SAY is that I NEED to disconnect the alarm system in order to start the van.

This is a factory installed alarm system - 1994 e150 van -
The horn wires were cut to stop the beeping...then the kill switch was cut - I only want to bypass the system in order to start the truck - does anyone know what I need to pull out/disconnect in order to start the van. Right now - it doesn't start at all.

by the way - I am really a woman helping out a man - and would appreciated ANY details anyone can give me on doing this.

Thanks again.

If the wires to the kill switch were just cut and taped up it will not start.

The switch acts as a circuit. With the kill switch in the off position it breaks the circuit, with it in the on position it completes the circuit.

You can either rewire the kill switch to a togle switch or wire it up perminantly. I would wire it to a togle switch up under the dash.
