Have a couple of electrical questions.
1993 Ford F150, the overdrive light on the end of the shifter was
blinking off and on and now has quit completely. The overdrive switch still works. Did the light burn out or is there a short down deeper in the column?
The gauges the left side of the dash are sometimes dimmer than the ones on the right side with the lights on. Sometimes they are the same brightness. Where is this problem at?
My 92 did the same thing, unfortunatly I don't know either. I do know that the ring on the end of the shifter pops off and the switch pulls out. I never checked the dealer about the switch. I would like to know the answer to this too.
Checked for codes before, nothing. The button still works as far as shifting in and out of OD, just the light doesn't come on anymore. Same as Ramjet, flickered for a few months and then just went out.
I remember the overdrive light burning out of our company pickup
and they had to replace the entire lever. You couldn't buy
just the bulb and I remember the price was ridiculous.
