Hey guys I've got my EFI to carb switch going and I'm at the duraspark part now as stated its an 86 with the computer still attached and I need to hook the duraspark up to the new distributor/coil and a spark source,I have a Painless harness ready so I could use some very simply stated instructions on how to hook her up so I can get it on the road-thanks so much
I did this with my 86 years ago when I swapped in a 351 w for the old knocking 302. I can take a look tomorrow, but there was no wire splicing or anything. I was able to plug the module into the wiring harness and go.
He is correct, look over on the driver's side inner fender, there should be enough plugs there to plug it in. You will probably have to unplug some of your old left over wiring to the old efi coil that you are not using anymore.
The connectors you want in your harness are C321 and C325. They used these same designations for years, and they are used in your fuel injection harness. I had to go to old 1981 diagram to find a picture of them, but they are all the same through the years. C323 should be the new harness you bought to go to the distributor itself.
