I have a 96 F350 and was wondering if there were any options for a stereo with a full size screen. Looking for ideas for a modern upgrade. Do the make full face detachable screens for stereos for these trucks single DIN mount?
There are some that are almost full sized now but can't say I have seen any that are touch screen only, that is a bad idea in a vehicle anyway. There are also head units with retractable screens that are even bigger than a single din.
I have this in my 94 and 92, Single din which has a screen that comes out to a large touch screen. I really like them, a little pricey about 550. I also have a back up camera tied into them which also works great. Pioneer AVH-3500NEX
Be weary of screens that are too dim to be seen properly on sunny days.
And never get a stereo that doesn't have physical *****/buttons!
