What a bunch of goons. Sometimes it irritates me how unknowledgeable they are, but because of their pockets, they are “experts”. Everyone is an Internet truck expert today. Can’t wait to see their review of the 7.3L.
Same here since they bought it. Guess they are still tired to the Jan 21st embargo even though they own it.
Kind of makes me wonder if the 7.3L is not all Ford had hoped or promised in the release. If early reviews help sales, why suppress them? If the could hurt sales, well... hold them back?

I think the 7.3 is going to pull away some diesel truck sales for those that don’t need that much truck. Damage control & controlled rollout of a new engine. Smart.

Isn’t it also a little strange that the 2020 brochure isn’t out yet? With models already on the lots. I’m assuming that because there’s not a downloadable brochure there’s not a printed one out yet, but seems like you’d want those out at your dealers and in the hands of potential customers.

Sometimes it gets a little hokey but they do some good real-world testing which I appreciate. (And obviously it's a party when Mr Truck shows up for a cameo appearance.)

FNG here, so bear with me ... what do you mean by "Jan21st emabrgo" ??
I'm asking because I've been waiting for the 7.3L trucks to start showing up at dealers. No dice locally - so far.

They are truly unwatchable. Any time I am curious about a product on their videos, I have to turn off the sound and quickly scan through the video. Painful. I really should just avoid clicking on their garbage.
Can’t see how ford’s “embargo” would apply if someone purchased a product.
it doesn’t but they kind of got their hands tied by agreeing to accept review models in exchange for the embargo. If they give any review before then without approval, purchased vehicle or otherwise, it could ding their professional relationship with Ford and negatively affect access to future scoops.
I predict the embargo will be lifted before the 21st. They just need to have a conversation with Ford and say there’s no reason to wait anymore since any Joe can buy one and give their impressions. Once the holidays are over, the marketing execs should be back at work and make this call. If Ford says “no”, then I’d expect the review to be a bit more “honest” if you know what I mean.
I think Ford is smart for waiting it out. So many times specs first drives are released months before you can actually get your hands on one. Seems like they want people to be bombarded with all the new 7.3 talk and actually be able to go out and purchase one right away.. as to people getting their hands on one early, how many people can they possibly tell?

Considering there is almost no YouTube content out on the 7.3 impressions, whoever has access to one and the ability to throw together a good video could get tons of hits. For one thing, it would spread here very quickly for sure.
