Anyone play with eco mode on the new 10 speeds yet? Seems to neuter the power a lot on my 450. Only used it shortly as holiday traffic has been saturated around here.

I have not driven a 20 w/10spd but have tried the ECO setting in many a rental car, never like it. I think it was created knowing that most cant drive that conservative to save fuel, so they made a mode that controls it for you.
I cant imagine having that mode on my 19, as it is the truck tries to lug around at 1200rpm in 6th gear as much as possible.
I put it in eco mode and took it out for a spin tonight. Stilldrives fine but it definitely changes the shift strategy and the throttle sensitivity is slightly more sluggish.
I haven’t played with that setting in my wife’s 10 speed Expedition. The trans is just the best and runs so efficient, I’m not sure what the need is. I would guess it would be best suited for open interstate use, and the setting probably keeps RPM down.
Well I just drove 300 miles in normal mode today to the Oregon Coast mostly highway. I'm seeing 14.6 now average. Have not reset it. Upon delivery it had 7 miles. That 14.6 is due to idling and some light towing. I did a lot of 75-80 cruising as well. I noticed the current fuel economy reading reads about 17-18 mpg running flat at 60. Speed it up to 75 and it drops to 13-14 current fuel economy. Happy with those numbers.
