DIY center console
I have a '62 unibody and I am starting a project to build my own center console to fit over the trans hump. Has anyone tried this? Any recommendations? I have been searching for a good USB charging port option and I just cannot find anything I like.

If you have bucket seats then you will have more room. I added a fuse panel with 12volt power.
I made the frame on mine with 1.5” flange angle iron then cut some 1/2” plywood to fit all the outer surfaces and drilled holes then used the correct thread tap threaded the drilled holes. Then used stainless screws to mount the panels. I then cut the holes in the wood where the power points were to go and in my case to mount the B&M Quicksilver shifter. After I was satisfied I then covered the wood with black vinyl padding by stapling on the back side.
