G'day All
Needing a ID on my 1997 HD 250 Powerstroke Navistar 2 WD Gear Box .. I'm pretty sure it's a E40D box as it's a 4 speed and it doesn't have any sensor's on top of the box like the 4R100 nor is there a provision for a sensor on the extension housing , the speed sensor appears to be on the diff ,the only wiring going into the box is on the right hand side just above the the oil pan which would be the passenger side for guy's but driver's side for me as i'm in Australia .. I need to id it as I'm needing to replace the Extension housing bush . I've taken a few pic's of the numbers I found embossed on the side of the box an the ID tag also hope these will help someone sort it out for me ..
Cheers Fred

Reason: more pics
This mighthelp to identify a few more pics ..It has 20 bolts holding the pan , a rubber reusable gasket , the end seal is metal with a rubber boot that keeps coming out due to vibration ,wiring goes into box right side above the oil pan which is your passenger side ..
