According to the quote below I'm not convinced. Your coolant temp dropped 65 degrees flowing through the radiator. Seems like its working to me but I don't know how much it should decrease by the time it heads back to the engine. I'll check my truck next time, if I remember.

Did your coolant temp gauge fluctuate constantly while driving at all?

To check my clogged radiator, I took my garden hose and stuck it in the filler neck, no other hoses attached. The flow through the rad couldn't keep up with the hose, so it was time to get a new one.

These trucks are over 20 years old. Probably just time to replace it anyways. Enough casting sand and stop leak will plug anything up.
