I received my remote starter today, took all of 20 minutes to install. Wiring is ok, not really impressed with the way it was, just felt cheap. Same as the control box, feels like cheap plastic. very easy install however and with the price being 130 bucks, I can not complain. I am happy overall with the product, I can retain my factory fobs and the ease of installation with no splicing is a turn on. I will report back if any issues arise. If anyone is looking for the remote starter, this one is a 6 out of 10 for me.
there is a delay, when pressing the sequence it pauses for about 8 seconds then starts the truck. As far as the lights, there are no lights that are on until you hit the unlock button to get in the truck.

That's odd, I put on one my 2019 F150 XL (the honk version) and the parking lights do come on when truck has started. The lights will also flash every 5 min. I ended up disabling the honk using forscan.
Mine does not honk! I think that is a plus. Did you also use the adapter so you could start it with your Phone? I did not..
No on the adapter. That's why I went with the Honk version. It acts like the factory Ford remote start with lights and also shows in the instrument cluster. I can adjust the run time and the climate control as well.
Glad it works for you, but doesn't sound worth it over the OEM security system add on to me. The FOMOCO part is oem quality, and of course won't be pointed at if there is a warranty issue. It also uses the factory fobs (lock, unlock, lock) to start, but is controllable from the dash menu, and is the same price.

The model I got is controllable from the dash menu and I paid 100 for it. The nice part about it is there is no forscan programming, just plug it in and it works. Literally less than 5 min.

Details? My dad and I both would like to add this but I was under the impression we would have to buy new keys also. Can you enlighten me? 😉
