Looks like a good deal, but at 40 pounds I wouldn't be hefting it around much.

I think this is the same jack for more money -

Actually, it wouldn't be all that difficult to make your own if you were so inclined -

Hey Bob...Merry Christmas.

yea, jacks look identical but the one you posted is only rated 4400. ??? I might drop the 40 on that one, I have a heck of a time with a long handled floor jack, 2/6s under the wheels and low truck in tight quarters. With my jack under the center of the front crossmember I have to start with 1/4" strokes for about 100 strokes then gradually to 1/2,3/4,1" for another 100 then it gets easier but cramped.. this might be an answer and it's short enough to slide in place

The downside to that is you won't get much lift out of it. The one picture shows 12" fully extended. It appears to be designed to raise the side of a car slightly to put the clamps onto the pinchweld when attaching a car to a frame machine. My buddy does that all the time, and it's a handy jack for that. If all you need is a little more clearance to use your floor jack easier, it could work, but would it be in the way of the floor jack?

Merry Christmas to you and yours too John.
Here's a demo of what appears to be the same jack. I don't like the lack of control jerkiness. Also a more compact unit.

.

I know Hein-Werner makes some awesome pneumatic jacks, but very pricey.

Hey John,
Curious if you decided to pull the trigger on one of these.

It still in my brain, Bob. but after watching the videos and realizing the lift I needed isn't there, I'm probably gonna walk away. I know the jerkiness is because of the metal sleeves sliding against each other and all of them looked to need better greasing. I didn't notice that jerky motion when had a load on it though. I'll have to measure some but don't think the three or four inches of lift it offers would even get my front suspension slack out.
They won't sell out this week so I'm not hurrying. My main motivation was it worked in small spaces and you didn't have that long handle jack to deal with.

I'll wait for you to buy and watch your review first.

Pretty sure this isn't the first time you brought up this subject so I'll bring this to your attention again, keep in mind either type requires a compressor so not likely to do you any good on the side of the road
https://www.google.com/search?q=pneu...w=1586&bih=757

Have you tried to put your floor jack in from the side and jack from the frame, that's how I jacked up my panel that had your problem until I raised the front suspension..

Well I went and ordered a red one just now. I paid the extra $10 for express shipping and email updates but I have no idea where it's coming from. Should be here within a month I suspect, but don't hold your breath.

Update: Don't order the $49 jack. It's a fraud/scam. Once they get your money you'll never hear from them again. Currently working with PayPal and AMEX trying to get my money refunded.

Yes, but it took over a week. Good thing for AMEX buyer protection! AMEX and PayPal were both on this. Got a full refund. I thought the deal was too good to be true anyway. Caveat emptor.

It was the ones for $49. Don't see it anymore. They were being sold by some guy in the Army. Hopefully he's in the stockade now.
